Big Little Wolf

Big Little Wolf
Surely a flirty French shoe designer in another life, in this life I am a freelance writer, parent (to two teen sons), art collector, polyglot, traveler, and devotee of exquisite footwear and fine (you got it – French) lingerie.
After a long corporate career on two continents (including writing behind-the-scenes), I turned my tap-tap-tapping on the keyboard skills to freelance writing for business and the arts. I am a former newspaper journalist, and have published on a variety of topics in both national and international print magazines, as well as on the web.
I’m an East Coast woman, but I’ve lived all over (which has been great), including a few stints in Paris. (Not hard duty!) Like most of us, I’ve had my ups and downs; the ups usually require a sturdy step stool, and the downs demand a sizable sense of humor. Everything requires the right pair of heels… even if they are just sitting on the floor beside me while I work, barefoot.
These days, I muse on life and my Daily Plate of Crazy, where I write essays on everything – sometimes serious, sometimes funny (I hope) – whatever strikes me on a given day as interesting, unusual, entertaining, or of concern.
I lie about my age (when it suits me), my height (always), go by many names (including Ms. Big), find any excuse to speak French, remain stubbornly optimistic about the future (on a good day), and continue an arduous uphill climb since divorce a number of years ago. I believe that we are all brimming with glorious contradictions that help us live fully – whatever life dishes out.
Morning is my clarity and my audacious dreaming, both of which persist, despite encroaching middle age and dirty socks – everywhere.
By the way, a songbird may have already told you, but I have been known to tweet – in English and en français – @BigLittleWolf.
